Sri Tirumalacharyulu was the learned man of the court at Venkatagiri Princely State. Ever since 1910, for almost 40 years, he spent his life in pursuit of spiritual matters and devotion to God under the patronage of the chieftains of this state. He had written a book of poems titled, "Sri Sathya Sai Baba Ramayanamu", containing in brief, the most wonderful divine story of Bhagawan Baba. He also wrote a book titled, "Sathya Sai Satakarnu" containing 100 poems with emphasis on devotion.
When Baba visited Venkatagiri on 10th September 1950, he penned 5 poems named, "Pancha Rathnopahara" (Garland of 5 precious Gems) on Swami and dedicated them at the Divine Lotus Feet of Swami. He was feeling intensely Swami's divine grace. He used to visit Puttaparthi, often thereafter, for Sivarathri and Navarathri festivals. Because of his good luck in seeing Bhagawan, touching Him and serving Him, Bhagawan blessed Tirumalacharyulu with the vision of Mahavishnu in his dream on one night and initiated him with "Thiru Mantropadesa" (Holy name of Narayana).
Once one of his daughters was suffering from severe stomach pain and Swami had told that she would not need surgery and He would take care of her. Then she went to live with her husband in Hyderabad. After some time, again the stomach pain started tormenting her. Swami went to their house, touched her with His divine hand, assured her not to be afraid of and then left their house. At that time Swami was in Puttaparthi itself. The doctors of Osmania Hospital who examined her said it was only due to divinegracethatshehada re-birth.
